The marketplace and verified leads

Verified leads from the shared cars and bikes marketplace — verification tiers, unlock pricing, exclusive home-visit claims and routing.

Written for owners, managers

The DriveDesk marketplace is a public site where buyers across India browse cars and bikes from every dealership on the platform. When somebody asks for a test drive on a vehicle you stock, the lead comes to you — but you decide whether to pay for it, and the price depends on how much of that customer has actually been verified.

Why leads are priced by verification

A lead with an unverified phone number is worth almost nothing; a lead where the person has proved their phone, their email and their driving licence is worth a great deal. DriveDesk prices accordingly instead of charging you a flat rate for both.

TierWhat the customer provedUnlock price
0Nothing verifiedFree
1Phone verified by one-time code₹49
2Phone and email verified₹99
3Phone, email and driving licence verified₹199
Prices are exclusive of GST and can be adjusted by the platform. An unverified lead is always free to reveal.

How masking works

Until you unlock a marketplace lead, you see the vehicle, the requested slot and the verification tier — but not the customer's name or contact details. Those are withheld on the server, so they are genuinely not present in your browser rather than merely hidden from view. Unlocking reveals them.

Home-visit leads are exclusive

  1. 1

    1. It broadcasts

A customer asks for a car to be brought to their home. The request is offered to every dealership within range — 100 km by default.

  2. 2

    2. Everyone sees it masked

Every dealership sees a masked version and can choose to claim it.

  3. 3

    3. First to claim wins

The first dealership to claim it wins it exclusively. Every other offer is closed and can no longer be unlocked — you are never competing with four other dealerships for the same doorstep.

Showroom leads are routed

When several dealerships stock the same model, the marketplace shows one card. If the customer wants to come to a showroom, they pick which dealership on the request form, and the lead goes to that one — not to whoever's page they happened to be looking at.

The customer's side

  • Customers have no account. They verify their phone with a one-time code, and that is their identity.
  • They can see every test-drive request they have made, across all dealerships, in one place.
  • They can compare up to four vehicles side by side before requesting anything.
  • Your dealership's rating and recent reviews are shown on your listings — reviews earned on real completed test drives.

Cars and bikes

The marketplace runs a cars storefront and a bikes storefront. Each is scoped to its own vehicle type with its own branding, and the two cross-link. List a motorcycle and it appears on the bikes site, not buried among cars.

Common questions

Does listing on the marketplace cost extra?
No. Listing is part of your subscription. You only pay to unlock the contact details of a lead you want to pursue, and unverified leads are free.
Will we end up competing with other dealerships on the same lead?
No. Once you claim a home-visit lead, every other dealership's offer is closed. It is yours.
How do we know if marketplace leads are worth it?
The analytics dashboard puts your unlock spend against the revenue from leads you marked Won, so you can see whether the channel pays. There is also a weekly summary pushed to owners and managers.
How do we know a lead really is verified?
It is stamped by DriveDesk's servers from the customer's verified session — a browser cannot claim to be verified. That is what makes the tier meaningful rather than a checkbox.
