We exist because no existing software addressed the specific operational, regulatory, and infrastructure constraints of Indian automotive retail. DriveDesk is designed around the workflows of Indian dealerships — not adapted from tools built for other markets.
How DriveDesk came to be
The problem we set out to solve
DriveDesk was founded after watching dealership managers across India try to coordinate test drives via WhatsApp groups, paper gate passes, and photocopied licences. The operational risk and inefficiency was clear — and no existing software addressed it for the Indian market.
Built from the ground up for India
We spent six months embedded in dealerships across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai — observing workflows, interviewing operations managers, and understanding the regulatory constraints specific to Indian automotive retail. The result: a platform designed around real dealership workflows, not generic fleet management assumptions.
Platform launch
DriveDesk launched with DigiLocker KYC integration, HMAC-signed QR gate passes, and real-time GPS tracking — the three pillars that distinguish it from generic booking tools. Our first cohort of dealerships reduced test drive checkout time by over 80% in the first month.
